I stood next to my bestie Katie and watched her get married. It was such a good wedding!!!! Katie was so beautiful I teared up every time I looked at her. Dave teared up when he saw her and they were so so happy. Full recap to follow but I had one of the best weekends!
I am utterly exhausted. Night night.
7 years of pounding the pavement in NYC have not been kind to my feet. I got a pedi tonight with the bride to be and my pedi guy told me I needed up the ante from my basic pedi to a more aggressive pedi. My feet are like butta now!
I was supportive of their college relationship but not later as young adults. I totally agree but Anton is adorable! Except with the weird goatee. I dunno I just love a kinda balding curly haired hipster furniture designer who makes bad relationship decisions.jacob and anna confuse intensity with love.
and the dumbest part? the idea that anton yelchin could get with both felicity jones and jennifer lawrence.
I love the Eameses. The exhibit I saw about them at the Museum of the City of NY was one of my favorites.

I went and had drinks and dinner with friends Friday night. Cheated a bit on my diet with some beer but I desperately wanted one.
Saturday was for pool lounging and reading. Saturday night was for lettuce wrap “tacos” and The Decsendants and Like Crazy viewing.
Today was more pool lounging and book reading followed by cooking and watching Like Crazy again. Seriously watch that movie it is so so good. Packed up most of my clothes for the move next weekend. More West Wing and bed soon.
All in all a great restful weekend before wedding mania next weekend!
I’m giving a speech/toast at Katies wedding and I’m having a hard time narrowing down what to say. I want to be funny and sappy but not make anyone cry or anything.
Its hard to put into words what Katie means to me. She’s my advice giver, my rock, and she’s also a hell of a lot of fun. I can’t remember a time in my life when she wasn’t there and it’s hard to roll all that history and love into something speechy.
I am also PMSing so all the reminiscing is making me teary.
Anyone have any ideas? Can I do a PowerPoint on why Katie is Awesome?
God it is so nice to be able to just hop in my car and see my family.
For 6.5 years I had to plot and plan and save for a flight home, but when I heard Wednesday that my hairstylist could see me Saturday, I packed my laundry and a weekend bag and headed back to the Bury.
Got my hair did Saturday then hung out with Jessica, my niece by proxy Mary Masters, Jessica’s sister in law Kelly and her two crazy kids. They were having a yard sale so I chased Mary Masters around the yard and my heart swelled like the Grinch every time she wanted me to pick her up.
Spent the rest of the day in the sun, helped Dad give Gibbs a bath, and watched movies in the late afternoon and evening.
It was my parents 33rd anniversary Sunday (40 years with dating included) so we celebrated with my dads amazing bacon and eggs then grilled for lunch. And went through the basement for stuff I’m moving into the new place and what not.
It was a lazy perfect weekend capped off by a delicious dinner made by Katie and watching the True Blood premiere and Mad Men finale. Good friends, good tv, and good food= perfect Sunday night.
Lost 10 pounds!

I’m taking these pills my mom ordered from Dr Oz and so help me, I think they work!
